We have many opportunities throughout the year for volunteers. Here are some, and the list is always being updated! Even if your work or family commitments prevent you from being available at certain times - we probably have something for you. Publicity - Help advertise the music and drama department events. This includes posters, press releases, etc. Even just someone to help put the posters up around town.
Fundraisers - Thank you to Ronda Hoover for volunteering to be the new fundraising chairman. Maybe you are not interested in a total commitment, but can you help on even one project? Contact Ronda at 587-6433.
Concession Stand: During football season we get half of the proceeds of the concession stand. This is a joint effort between music boosters and sports boosters. Every other year we are responsible for chairing this project. For 2010 we are responsible for providing some workers.
50/50: At the football games we sell 50/50 tickets, as we have a small games of chance license. It requires 2 adults for every home varsity football game. Karen Bean will be chairing this for 2010.
Marching Band: Summer Band Camp: Workers for the lunchtime food and snacks; uniform fitting; uniform hem adjustments. Chaperones: Typically we take 3 to 4 adult chaperones on every travel event - football games, parades and festivals. School guidelines require that they be parent/guardian. Music Boosters has a chairman who coordinates the chaperone volunteers and assigns the events. For 2010 season the new chairman will be Ronda Hoover. Complete a volunteer form and your information.
Uniforms: During band camp the uniforms are assigned to the students - band and front unit (flags). This year we are looking for a person to work with the past chairman as her son will be a senior. We also need volunteers that can help hem pants. In addition, someone to coordinate the gloves would be helpful. Renee Watson is the new uniform chairperson. Used shoe sale - Contact is Ronda Hoover at 587-6433.
Banquet: The music dept./music boosters hosts a year-end banquet where we can recognize all who have participated in all music dept. ensembles. Each year we need a decorating committee, someone to coordinate the senior gifts, set up/tear down, cook meat, prepare beverages, etc.
